Consultation
Through consultation, I support others to do their work better. This is not therapy. I lend my expertise and experience to support others as they consider the challenges they are facing differently and engage in problem solving more effectively.
COLLEAGUES
I offer peer consultation and
mentorship to others in the
healthcare field.
For my colleagues in mental health, I provide consultation for difficult cases and teach and mentor in cognitive-behavioral case conceptualization, mind-body medicine, understanding learning profiles, and supporting families in parenting challenges.
For those in primary care or specialized medicine, my experience in medical settings (e.g., oncology, pain management) helps me support healthcare providers in addressing the important psychological components of compliance, health management, and mind-body medicine considerations.
EDUCATORS
Incorporating my expertise in cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), case conceptualization, and brain-based aspects of learning and executive functioning, I consult with local private and public schools to help inform interventions for challenging situations.
I offer professional development for staff and parents on a variety of topics.
I also conduct program evaluations, such as of special education, emotional support, and evaluation services, and am a contractor for independent evaluations.
FAMILIES
Parenting and caregiving are often very rewarding, but can also be challenging at times. Over the years, I have helped thousands of families (literally!) navigate difficulties with behavior, emotional regulation, learning differences, loss and trauma, sleep difficulties, unhealthy media and device use, communication, blended family dynamics, coparenting, and overall relationship satisfaction.
Through these trying moments and circumstances, I can help families find the perspective, patience, and skills necessary to work to build healthy and lasting relationships.
